Prohibited items
Items and activity Chelly does not allow because they create safety, legal or trust risks. Listing them leads to removal, strikes, payout holds and possible reports to authorities. Part of the Terms of Service.

1. Never list or transact
Illegal goods or services; weapons, ammunition, explosives; controlled drugs and illicit substances; stolen goods or goods you have no title to; counterfeit/pirated goods; recalled or demonstrably unsafe products; explicit sexual content or sexual services; personal data, IDs or credentials of others; financial instruments, Ponzi/forex-mirroring schemes or unlicensed financial promises; human remains, endangered wildlife, or anything requiring a licence you cannot demonstrate on request. Also banned: arranging payment or delivery off Chelly to evade escrow/fees/safety, fee evasion, account sale/rental, and facilitating any of the above.
2. Restricted — extra proof required
Food, cosmetics, health/supplement products: must show genuine expiry dates, sealed condition, and NAFDAC registration/approval numbers where applicable — expired, unlabelled or home-mixed ingestibles may be removed. Electronics/phones/laptops: must include true condition, serial/IMEI available to Chelly on request, and proof of ownership for high-value items — Chelly may request receipts or verification before the listing stays up. Tickets, vouchers, event passes: must be transferable and verifiable; screenshots-only or already-redeemed codes are banned. Medicines/prescription devices, alcohol/tobacco and hazardous chemicals are effectively prohibited for peer sale and will be removed. Chelly may request evidence at any time or remove a listing where authenticity, safety, title or compliance is unclear.
3. Report and enforcement
Use the report action on a listing/profile, or open a SAFETY ticket in Help Centre with the link and reason. Do not arrange an unsafe meeting or delivery to investigate a concern yourself. Enforcement: listing removal + warning for first/low-risk breaches; reduced discovery, selling pause with payout hold, then permanent ban for repeats; immediate pause/ban plus forfeiture of disputed amounts and reports to law enforcement, schools or rights-holders for fraud, theft, counterfeit at scale, weapons/drugs or safety threats. Appeals within 7 days via Help Centre.
